His artworks include diverse references, from Baroque to Pop Art, while claiming art’s role as a space for freedom of speech. His paintings contain drops of classicism, comics and cartoons, transforming supposedly antagonistic characters and landscapes in a connected composition. Lalanne has the ability to design spaces in which the scale and superposition of elements achieve a surrealistic and metaphysical aura. He excels at detail, perspective and light. By presenting, pictorially, in his canvases, the imprint of his peculiar vision of the world, based on a dialectic between classical philosophy and the current daily chaos, mixing imagination and irony, Lalanne takes us to his genuine and original universe.

His recent solo exhibitions include shows at Fundación Pablo Atchugarry (2016), in Punta del Este, Uruguay; Galería Zielinsky (2019), Barcelona, Spain; His recent group exhibitions include shows at Museo Gurvich (2018), Montevideo, Uruguay; Museo Ralli (2018), Marbella, Spain; Museo Ralli, Punta del Este, Uruguay; Fundación Antonio Gala (2010), Córdoba, Spain.
